What comes with every booking
You don't need to source supplies, brief the caregivers, or explain the plan to your venue. That's our job.
- A named lead caregiverwho runs the room and is your single point of contact on the day.
- Age-appropriate activity kits— coloring, crafts, quiet games, books and soft toys, refreshed for each event.
- A written care plancovering allergies, nap needs, pick-up authorization and emergency contacts.
- Venue coordinationso the space, tables, power and access are confirmed before you arrive.
- Sign-in and sign-out recordsfor every child, kept with the lead caregiver throughout.
- Full clean-upof the childcare space at the end of service.

How staffing works
The numbers behind the plan
Ratios are the single biggest factor in both safety and cost, so we're upfront about them.
1 : 5
Our standard guideline is one caregiver for every five children, adjusted for ages, venue layout and the nature of the event.
2 minimum
We never staff a single caregiver alone. Every event has at least two, so the room is always covered.
4 weeks
Final child headcount is due four weeks before your event so we can confirm the right number of caregivers.
Questions
Asked and answered
As early as you can. Weekend dates in peak wedding season are often reserved four to six months out. If your date is closer than that, still get in touch — we'll tell you honestly whether we can staff it. The number of sitters booked can be adjusted up to one month out.
We care for children from four months through fifteen years. Infants and toddlers are staffed at a lower ratio, so let us know the age breakdown when you inquire — it changes the plan meaningfully.
Pricing depends on the number of caregivers, the length of coverage, the ages involved and any extras. There's a minimum booking length for every event. Send your details through the inquiry form and you'll get a written quote back — no obligation.
Yes. Every caregiver completes a criminal background screening through a third-party provider before their first event, holds current pediatric CPR and first-aid certification, and is interviewed and reference-checked by us directly.
A separate room or a clearly defined area works best — ideally with access to a restroom, some floor space, and a door or partition to keep noise down in both directions. We'll walk through options with your venue coordinator as part of planning.
We don't cater, but we're happy to serve food that you or your venue provides. Every allergy, dietary restriction and feeding instruction goes into the written care plan and is confirmed with parents at sign-in.
Northern Virginia, Washington DC and nearby Maryland. Events beyond that radius may be possible with a travel fee — ask us.
Small changes are normal and we'll accommodate what we can. Because caregivers are scheduled in advance, the count you confirm four weeks out is the count your quote is based on.
